Clove Bud Oil
Lavanga
Naturally helps maintain oral freshness.
You read the labels on your groceries, your shampoo, your face cream. Your toothpaste touches your smile 730 times a year. Doesn’t it deserve the same look?
Turn the Sudanta tube over. We print every ingredient right on the back. No fluoride, no SLS, no vague “natural flavour.”
What you’ll find instead is five real herbs that Ayurveda, India’s traditional system of everyday wellness, has used in oral care for centuries. Clove bud oil, a familiar home-remedy herb in many kitchens. Ceylon cinnamon, for a warm, spiced finish. Bakul and mayaphala, two classics of traditional tooth care. And black pepper, for a little warmth. Add 18% xylitol, and you get a fresh, gentle clean without the big foam.
Nature’s goodness, made by meditators.
Here’s what you’ll notice on your first brush.
Less foam. Gentle clean. We left out SLS, the harsh foaming agent in most toothpastes. Sudanta cleans with sodium lauroyl glutamate, a mild cleanser made from amino acids and rated EWG 1.
Clove. Cinnamon. Black pepper. Warm and spiced, instead of icy. Your mouth feels clean and fresh, never numb or burning.
Sweet, without the sugar. Xylitol is the third ingredient on our label. This naturally sourced sweetener softens the herbal taste, so brushing feels pleasant rather than medicinal.

Yes. Sudanta contains no SLS or SLES.
Instead, it uses Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, an amino acid–derived cleanser with an EWG ingredient hazard score of 1, alongside Coco-Glucoside, a gentle cleanser derived from coconut and plant-based sugar. Together, they create a lighter foam and a fresh, clean feeling.
Less aggressive foam. The clean feeling you expect.
Not quite. Natural describes where ingredients come from. Herbal suggests that plants are used. Ayurvedic goes deeper—it reflects a traditional system of wellness from India in which botanicals are selected and thoughtfully combined according to a long-established philosophy of care.
Sudanta brings that tradition into a modern toothpaste. Its formula features five clearly named Ayurvedic botanicals, complete ingredient transparency, and no SLS, fluoride, or ingredients hidden behind vague terms such as “natural flavour.”
Backed by more than 35 years of Sri Sri Tattva’s experience in Ayurvedic formulation, Sudanta is not simply herbal-flavoured toothpaste. It is everyday oral care thoughtfully rooted in Ayurveda.
Some people prefer to brush without fluoride, for themselves or for their children. Sudanta is made for them, without asking anyone to give up a proper clean. The work is done by 18% xylitol (the third ingredient by weight), calcium carbonate for gentle polishing, and five Ayurvedic botanicals, each one named on the tube.
IWhether fluoride-free is right for you is a personal choice; if you have specific dental concerns, your dentist is the person to ask.
Yes. One gentle formula for everyone in the house: SLS-free, fluoride-free, and made with natural and naturally derived ingredients. Because there’s no fluoride, a swallowed blob isn’t a worry.
For children under 6, use a pea-sized amount and supervise brushing, the same as with any toothpaste.
Not every Ayurvedic toothpaste is formulated the same way. Some formulas may still include SLS or fluoride.
Sudanta combines five clearly named Ayurvedic botanicals with a transparent formula that is free from SLS and fluoride. Every ingredient is listed, so you can see exactly what is inside the tube.
Rooted in Ayurveda.
Each botanical has a long history in Ayurvedic oral-care traditions and brings its own character to the formula. Clove (Lavanga) adds a warm, aromatic note. Ceylon cinnamon (Dalchini) brings a familiar spiced finish. Bakul and Mayaphala are traditional Ayurvedic botanicals, while black pepper (Maricha) contributes a subtle warming character.
Together, they form the herbal heart of Sudanta—five real botanicals, clearly named and thoughtfully brought together in one transparent formula.
Xylitol is a naturally derived sweetener that helps reduce plaque-forming bacteria, which feed on regular sugar but can’t use xylitol. Many toothpastes include a small amount for taste; Sudanta uses 18% so there’s enough to make a difference, not just to sweeten.
It also gives the paste a mild, clean sweetness without any sugar. Kids love the taste. If you want an even higher xylitol content, our Charcoal toothpaste lists it as the first ingredient.
Warm and herbal, not sharp. Clove and Ceylon cinnamon come through first, with a light sweetness from the xylitol behind them.
If you’re used to strong mint, give it a few days. Many customers tell us their old toothpaste tastes harsh after the switch.
You read every other label. What about your toothpaste? Clean, truly Ayurvedic, and made with you in mind.
